Precautions For Screw Air Compressor Installation And Pipe Piping

Piping is very important in screw air compressors.The correct installation of piping can make the screw air compressor work better.We have a lot of attention to the installation of piping.Do you know what these attention points are?

1.Installation conditions of screw air compressor

(1)The screw air compressor should be built on a hard floor,and the foundation plane must be leveled before installation to avoid the vibration of the compressor and cause noise.

(2)The vibration produced by the screw air compressor is small,so it does not need to be a fixed foundation.But the ground on which it is placed must be flat,and the underground cannot be soft soil.The bottom of the compressor is best covered with a 5-10mm soft pad or shock-proof pad to prevent vibration and noise.

(3)If the screw air compressor is installed upstairs,it must be anti-vibration treatment to prevent the vibration from being transmitted downstairs or causing resonance,which poses a safety hazard to the compressor and the building itself.

2. Precautions for pipe piping of screw air compressor

(1)When piping the main pipeline,the pipeline must have an inclination of 1°~2° to facilitate the discharge of condensate in the pipeline.The pressure drop of the piping should not exceed 5% of the set pressure of the compressor,so it is better to choose a larger pipe diameter when piping.

(2)The branch pipeline must be connected from the top of the main pipeline to prevent the condensed water in the main pipeline from flowing into the working machine.The compressor air outlet pipeline should preferably have a one-way valve.

(3)A ball valve should be installed at the end of the main line to facilitate condensate discharge.

(4)Do not shrink the main pipe arbitrarily.If you must reduce or enlarge the pipeline,you must use a tapered pipe.Otherwise,mixed flow will occur at the joint,resulting in large pressure loss and affecting the service life of the pipeline.

(5)If the compressor has buffer purification facilities such as gas storage tank and dryer,the ideal piping should be compressor+gas-water separator+gas storage tank+front filter+dryer+rear filter+fine filter.In this way,the air storage tank can filter part of the condensed water,and the air storage tank also has the function of reducing the temperature of the compressed air.Can reduce the load of the dryer or filter.

(6) If the instantaneous air consumption of the system is large,a gas storage tank should be installed as a buffer(its capacity should be greater than or equal to 20% of the maximum instantaneous air volume),which can reduce the number of frequent loading and unloading of the compressor unit.Reducing the number of actions of the control element is of great benefit to maintaining the operating reliability of the compressor.Under normal circumstances,a gas storage tank with a capacity of 20% of the displacement can be selected.

(7) For compressed air with system pressure below 1.5MPa,the flow velocity in the delivery pipe must be below 15m/sec to avoid excessive pressure drop.

(8) Minimize the use of elbows and various valves in the pipeline to reduce pressure loss.
